Motherhood

Motherhood did not erase the person I was before. It changed the centre of gravity,
gave new meaning to love, ambition, responsibility and what it means to build a life.

Before Rumi

The beginning of motherhood.

Motherhood began before Rumi was born.
It began in the moment I understood that my life was no longer only mine and that every choice, every dream and every version of the future would now hold him too.

To me, motherhood is sacred. There is no greater responsibility in life than raising your own child and shaping the world they first come to know, by giving them the love, strength and freedom to become who they are.

Rumi

A carefully selected public chapter of a much more private relationship.

Rumi is my son, my greatest adventure, and the person who taught me that strength is not about carrying everything alone.

My work and motherhood are not separate identities. Motherhood strengthened my resilience, adaptability and people-centered leadership.

And perhaps what Rumi changed in me most is this: I no longer measure success only by what I build, but by the life, love and courage I build around him.

The beginning

Small moments, enormous meaning.

Family life

Bowie joined the adventure too.

Family life keeps expanding in unexpected ways. Bowie became part of our everyday life, bringing a new rhythm, wildness and chaos, and so much affection by turning ordinary moments into small childhood stories we will always remember.

A thought I keep returning to

A child may not remember every detail of childhood. What remains is the feeling of whether they were held, loved and safe.
